2026–28

European Liberal Youth - LYMEC

Serving as Advocacy and Outreach Officer for European Liberal Youth. Responsible for overseeing the organisation's overarching advocacy strategy, relationships with external partners, and the Individual Members' Section. Regional responsibilities include the UK and Ireland, the Benelux and France.

2023–26

Alliance Youth

As International Officer, Tommy worked on policy stances for the Alliance Party’s youth wing, developed relationships with other liberal youth organisations, and represented Alliance Youth at international events. He also took part in the Young Changemakers Academy in 2024 and represented LYMEC as part of its delegation to the ALDE Congress in 2025.

2023

Election Candidate

In the 2023 local elections, Tommy stood as an Alliance Party candidate for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council on a platform focused on representing younger voices. He spoke with voters across the area, coordinated canvassing and volunteers, and represented the party at debates and in the media.

2024–25

Young European Movement UK

As Head of Finance and Administration, Tommy supported the day-to-day running of the organisation, advised on budgets and represented YEM UK externally.

2019–23

UK-German Connection

At the “Peacing it Together II” seminar in Leipzig, Tommy delivered a presentation on shared and integrated education and led discussions on the theme. He later served for three years on the Alumni Youth Council, co-designing future youth programmes with other council members and providing constructive feedback to stakeholders.
