Tommy helps organisations modernise data platforms, move beyond legacy systems and turn complex information into actionable insights that can drive business decisions.
Tommy began his technical career as a Software Engineer in Test at Northern Ireland’s largest Insurtech firm, building a foundation in software quality, automation and the delivery of dependable systems through the Agile Scrum framework.
At Penta Group, Tommy worked across policy-heavy sectors, analysing complex political and regulatory issues and translating them into clear advice for decision-makers. The role strengthened his understanding of how policy is shaped, how organisations engage effectively with policymakers and how strategic partnerships turn ideas into action.
Now working as a Data Engineering Consultant, Tommy has supported clients across several sectors. His current work includes helping a banking client design and develop a new data platform and migrate data from legacy systems to more modern, scalable architecture.
Graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2024 with First Class Honours. His degree included a year in industry and he also received the Queen’s Future-Ready Award ↗.
Tommy is SnowPro Core certified and is currently working towards the SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer Certification.
